Assembly Technician - Level 2 TYPE:
Full Time, non-exempt
Summary:
The Assembly Technician - Level 2 will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical components and products according to engineering drawings and specifications.
You will use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as measuring instruments to ensure that the products meet all quality standards.
You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
Assemble electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
Perform quality control checks on assembled components.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Perform preliminary and / or final packaging of components and final products.
Maintain a clean and organized work area compliant with 6S standards.
Follow all safety procedures.
Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certificate / degree preferred.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong safety awareness.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Assembly Technician role requires good manual dexterity, physical strength for lifting and carrying heavy parts up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, fine motor skills, visual acuity, spatial awareness, physical stamina, proficiency in using hand tools and equipment, and safety awareness to perform tasks accurately and safely.
OVERTIME / TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Overtime (OT) will be required from time to time for short-term or long-term duration, as business needs mandate.
Travel may be required by any mode of transportation as determined by company for business reasons such as, but not limited to, equipment service / installation, skill development or training Job Type:
