Quality Assurance Manufacturing Engineer

Description Job Outline:

Development, implement, document and maintain effective and efficient manufacturing and process controls to ensure compliance with internal, customer and regulatory requirements.

Work with production and manufacturing engineering and other departments to develop, improve and refine processes.

Lead supplier qualification, disqualification, and ASL maintenance processes
Development of inspection plans and determination of inspection and test equipment needs.

Development of Work Instructions and other documentation as needed when new processes are implemented.

Recommend changes to established procedures or work instructions as needed to increase effectiveness.

Administer Correction Action activities by performing failure and root cause analysis.

Investigate causes and implement Corrective Actions for individual customer requests.

Work with other departments, customers and suppliers as needed in support of effective solutions.

Participate in the supplier qualification and review process.

Review, report on, and take appropriate actions based on supplier performance.

Provide support in assessing and acting on performance when needed.

Participate in supplier audits for qualification, process evaluation, and QMS verification
Review Industry, military, and customer specifications to understand and communicate requirements
Perform supplier process and system audits.

Determine candidate parts for dock-to-stock consideration.

Provide manufacturing support through data review and analysis.

Assess measurement results to determine ability to meet specs and necessary actions.

Assess process changes to determine impact and effectiveness.

Any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the quality management system and Company needs.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study:
Quality, Mechanical, Industrial Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study:
Quality, Mechanical, Industrial Certifications & Licenses:
ASQ CQE / SSGB preferred Other Requirements:

Technical writing
Blueprint reading and interpretation, including GD&T
Problem solving skills
Ability to read, understand and follow policies and procedures and to be able to explain them to other employees; as well as to balance multiple tasks and priorities
Comfortable interacting with operators, supervisors, management, customers and suppliers in the course of their duties.
